WHERE ARE THEY TODAY? A Retrospective on Gongen's (Former?) Heroes.
It wasn't too long ago we were all hearing the espoused greatness of the man known as Radical Doitzel (Deutzel), a hacker from maverick space who had turned coat along with his compatriot Michael Dragonet (Wilgress) and was instrumental in what was rumored to be a critical computer based strike against the criminal organization known as the Cartel. The Gongen government set them up with a house, then a mansion, they made several other large propaganda fueling victories, and eventually they disappeared.
In their absence the Tenryu party's candidate for the presidency was assassinated, there was a diplomatic incident with some Earther soldiers dying from drinking acid, and our current president was elected while a strange flash freeze happened momentarily on Seyal, but ended as quickly as it had begun.
When they resurfaced, Doitzel seemed to be head of some sort of new conglomerate group called "Electric Mayhem" (a reference to the 20th century "television" drama "the Muppet Show"), and seemingly also back in the cartel. While the Gongen Government has assured us that this is in fact okay, that he is still on our side, the oddity of it all is staggering. After all, the timing of these events is too close to comfort, not to mention the fact that no legitimate sources have one shred of information of where Doitzel was.
While there are plenty of conspiracy theories around, tying political intrigue and a power grab on Gongen into this man's motivations, Doitzel has only ever been a hacker. While he seems to be a leader now, his lack of true military experience and current subservience to the Cartel only leaves us to one obvious conclusion: Doitzel is in fact not the real leader of Electric Mayhem, but a puppet being controlled by the very same man who runs the Cartel.
Doitzel's patriotism has never been, and is still not in question. Shocho seems to have full faith in whatever mission he is on, but what that mission is is unclear.
