We've wanted to have a communal place for WARS fans (or "Muppets") to submit their work to for a long time, and now we do! Check out what we already have up, and feel free to submit your own stories, art, music, or anything else that strikes your fancy. After all, WARS Muppets love to create, and its time for there to be a place for all that to go. To Submit work, email work to [email protected] with "Zocho Submission" in the subject heading. On another note, we are also accepting essays and features about WARS! Not too long ago the Zocho announced a WARS fanfiction contest, and the response was amazing! Needless to say, we were pleased with the results. Please take a moment to check out our top entries right here, and enter the world of WARS filled with Earthers, Mavericks, and Gongen, NoBots and Kizen, and intrigue and espianage. Please Enjoy reading our top Stories! HERE! Last week we announced our WARS fan fiction contest to promote Grail Quest Book's release of "WARS: The Battle of Phobos Vol.1 Preludes", offering a cards and a T-Shirt if you wrote a WARS story and put a post up on your wall about the novella's release, linking to the wars page. Well today we have a new announcement, and some of your minds might be blown. The winner of the Zocho WARS fanfiction contest will get their story submitted to Decipher for potential inclusion in an upcoming short story anthology. Yeah. You read that right. Note that it is potential, not guarunteed, and also take note you will not recieve finacial compensation for the story. You will however have the chance to be published in the same anthology as writers like Michael A. Stackpole, Chuck Kallenbach, Mark Tuttle, as well as the authors of the Battle of Phobos novella series, and te upcoming comic series. Heres the fine print: Winning entry will be submitted to Grail Quest Books & Decipher, Inc. for consideration of publication in the upcoming WARS anthology. Winning does not guarantee inclusion into stated anthology, nor that it is considered official WARS canon if not included in a Decipher-approved publication. Further, publication of winning entry in a Decipher-approved publication in no way includes an agreement to financial compensation, or any other compensation related to said publication of entry. Winning entrant will sign a written agreement acknowledging these terms before entry is submitted for approval. One final adendum: to be elligiible for this prize, you must like the Battle of Phobos Preludes Facebook page, FOUND HERE. And please purchase WARS: The Battle of Phobos Preludes At Barnes and Nobles or Amazon (click blue links) An image of the WARS Resurrection deck editor We've got two sets of pretty exciting, entirely fan-driven news today. First off, WARS resurrection, the fan group working to make a playable version of the WARS tcg for computor has a large, but smart, announcement: they're changing engines. They were previously using XNA, which would require an install and work on windows, they have since changed to Unity, which will allow anyone to play just from within their browser! Though this certainly slows things down- its a change for the best. After all, this opens up the player base to literally anyone who can get on the internet. We'll keep you updated. You can read the full announcement here: http://warsresurrection.blogspot.com/ We'd also like to announce that the "Talinata Softworks" Webseries (made by members of the Zocho) has been completed! The story revolves around the Talinata Softworks company, the last independant company who refuses to be incorperated into the larger mess of megacorperations on Earth, and their attempt to remain independant... Or maybe more then that. Its set in the "past" of the WARS universe, and has had a good reaction from WARS fans so far, so check it out! HERE. http://kalingkata.weebly.com/talinata.html |
